The main difference between a double layer paper cup and a single layer paper cup is its structure and function:
Material difference: Double-layer paper cup adopts a composite structure with an air layer between two layers of paper cups, while single-layer paper cup requires only one paper material. The double-layer paper cup also needs to be added in the production process of hot melt adhesive for bonding, which increases the production cost.
Thermal insulation performance: The double-layer paper cup has good thermal insulation effect because of the air layer in the middle, which is suitable for maintaining the temperature of hot drinks, such as coffee, milk tea and so on. In contrast, single-layer paper cups have poor thermal insulation performance and usually can only maintain the temperature of a hot drink for about 30 minutes.
Application scenario: Because of its excellent insulation performance, double-layer paper cups are often used for drinks that need to be insulated for a long time, such as coffee, milk tea, etc. Single-layer paper cups are mostly used for drinking in a short period of time, such as drinks in fast food restaurants.
Anti-scalding: The double-layer paper cup has an air layer between the outer layer and the inner layer, which provides good insulation and reduces the possibility of direct contact with high temperatures, thus reducing the risk of burns. In contrast, single-layer paper cups do not have such a design, so they may burn their hands more easily when used.
Cost and price: The production cost of double-layer paper cups is higher, so the price is correspondingly more expensive; The cost of single-layer paper cups is lower, and the price is more friendly to the people.
