While traditional paper cups collapse when exposed to water, the innermost layer of modern disposable ice cream dish is made of natural fibres such as bagasse and bamboo pulp, etc. The honeycomb-like supporting skeleton is constructed by special process of hot press moulding. This structure can efficiently disperse the pressure of ice crystals, and after 72 hours of severe freezing test in a professional laboratory at -18℃, the paper bowl does not crack, and its performance is far superior to that of traditional paper cups. Immediately adjacent to the fibre skeleton is the water-locking junction, i.e. food-grade PE lamination or PLA bio-coating extracted from corn starch, which uniformly covers the inner wall with an extremely thin thickness of 0.03 mm. At the molecular level, the PE molecules are tightly arranged to form a dense waterproof barrier, whose impermeability is enhanced by 17%.
Some high-end paper bowl ice cream also has a breathable cushioning membrane on the outer wall, which adopts microporous embossing technology to mimic the microstructure of the surface of a lotus leaf. Under a high-powered microscope, the outer wall can be seen to be covered with tiny bumps and grooves, and these microstructures can guide condensate along a specific path to slide down, while avoiding the phenomenon of sweating due to temperature differences. Some double-layer ice cream paper bowls have an overhanging layer at the bottom. The 3mm hollow sandwich seems simple, but in fact it takes advantage of the low thermal conductivity of the air to effectively prevent low temperatures from being transmitted directly to the tabletop, thus avoiding water stains. In heat transfer experiments, the use of paper bowls with this design of the desktop temperature change is significantly smaller than ordinary paper bowls.
When young people hold up a watertight paper bowl and dig ice cream while walking under the hot sun, they don't have to worry about the ice cream in small paper ice cream cups with lids melting and leaking, and the cream sticking to their sticky fingers, so that consumers can pay for their happiness without any burden.
